Do employers, recruiters and the HR realize how inconsiderate it is to expect a candidate to type in ten years of employment history on their phones, which can easily be uploaded from any PDF files if the employer has the proper program?

Employers, and employed people involved in hiring, tend to look down on everyone. It’s an inherent part of HR culture that has seeped into everyone, and it’s partly (largely, I think) based on the idea of people as resources, rather than as (crazy idea) humans. Virtually all employment in the US is at-will, meaning either party can terminate with or without cause, immediately. Even so, companies not only survive in those countries, but thrive. Here in the US, it’s “impossible to hire good people or fire bad people”. So, yes, employers look down on people who have gaps in their resumes. A woman who decided to spend some time out of the professional world raising children? Maybe you’ll have more children. A person who took time to care for an aging/dying parent? Why weren’t you career-oriented? Laid off? That’s probably code for fired. Saved some money and took time off to enjoy life? Unacceptable; you should be a better drone! Fortunately, despite HR being an awful “culture” that has infected the world with principles of suspicion and manipulation, there are good people out there. T tend to hire amazing people and be great to work for. Be patient. I can’t promise what will come along, but remember, people who will judge you for s*** t don’t understand will not be good to work for.
